Georgia's Best Kept Secret

Jekyll Island, sometimes referred to as the “best kept secret” in the Southeast, offers its own unique and unspoiled natural beauty in this barrier island setting. When you arrive you’ll find that the hustle and stress of everyday life seem to drift away through the moss-draped live oaks and swaying pines. Jekyll Island offers something for everyone, whether you’re coming for business or pleasure.

Located just six miles off the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL and just minutes off Interstate 95.

Restaurants: A variety of restaurants and cafes are nestled in along the Island’s marina, wharf, Intercoastal Waterway and Ocean. (Days Inn offers a continental breakfast). Please visit the www.jekyllisland.com for a list of Jekyll Island’s dining recommendations.

Jekyll Island Convention Center: Located adjacent to the Days Inn & Suites, this center offers over 128,000 square feet of versatile meeting and banquet space.

Lots of family fun: 15 miles of paved bike (see bike rental rates here) and jogging trails, miniature golf, kayaking, windsurfing, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, dolphin cruises, sightseeing tours, miles of beachcombing, shell collecting, bird & turtle watching with turtle walks.

Festivals and Special Events: Our Shrimp & Grits Festival in November each year is just one of the events that bring thousands of visitors to the island for a weekend of music, food, and fun. Other events include 4th of July Celebration and Holiday Island.
